Possibly the most difficult race I have ever done in my entire career, I’ve raced in hot temps but nothing like this before. Had some ups and down during weekend, it was a home race for me and a good chance for some points for Open Throttle but so much had happened that put us in a tough spot. Mechanical issues then contact with another car gave us a major setback on Saturday. But on Sunday, we pushed on and despite some challenges we managed to finish in the top 5.
A big thanks to Open Throttle as always for the hard work. We’re still third in the national championship but we still have a long way to go before the season is over. These guys work at it like crazy despite everything going on plus the heat. I cannot thank them enough.
High Plains Raceway is the next round of the championship, taking us to Colorado. It’s one of the more challenging tracks on the calendar but nothing that we can’t handle. Until then, take care everyone!
